California CA Long-Term Care 8-Hour

Course Description

This is the 8-hour course required to sell long-term care insurance in California. It must be repeated each year for the 1st 4 years of selling the product, then it must be repeated each renewal period. It is intended to give the student a comprehensive overview of the economic, tax aspect of and market for long-term care insurance.

Become familiar with the regulations in California Insurance Code that relate to long-term care insurance. Become familiar with legislation addressing long-term care insurance on the state and federal level. Understand sanctions, policy provisions, licensing, policy replacement and product advertising. Review the relationship between LTC and federal Medicare/Medicaid programs.
