Learn about flood maps and how they affect the rating process. Examine policies and products available; the dwelling, general property, condominium, and preferred risk policy. Get details on general rules of the flood program including deductibles, loss settlement, and property value determination. Be familiar with the flood insurance rating process, risks and pricing. Course participants will be familiar with the claims handling process. Understand requirements of the Flood Insurance Reform Act of 2004. Review agent resources available including Write Your Own information, FEMA websites, and the Flood Insurance Manual.
