Texas TX Initial Annuity Training

Course Description
All Texas agents planning to sell annuities must complete Texas Four-Hour Annuity Training before selling Annuity Products. It is a state approved insurance certification course. It satisfies your initial Annuity Certification requirement. Only complete the Annuity Certification course one time. It counts toward your total 30 ce credit hour requirement. If the original four-hour annuity certification course is completed within the first twelve months of the license cycle, the licensee must finish a four-hour annuity training continuing education course during the second 12 months of the license cycle. During each subsequent license cycle, licensees must complete eight hours of certified annuity continuing education. Look at acceptable sales practices and those that are prohibited. Review sales practices as they apply to Texas seniors. Examine contract requirements applicable to fixed, variable, and indexed annuities. Understand consumer notice requirements. Examine the prohibitions regarding misrepresentation, deception and falsehood. Become familiar with the senior market for annuities; who buys the product and agent responsibilities in the sale of annuities.
